The Kids got to paint Christmas decorations for the tree. They had a ball and didn't make much of a mess. Harrison could have painted for hours but we ran out of decorations for him to paint. He took his time and made decorations extremely pretty. The other two just painted their decorations very fast and simple so they could be done. I guess that is the difference between the kids.

Killing the Chickens

We had the experience of killing some chickens and de-feathering them. What an experience. I don't think Harrison and Caroline cared for it so much but Jaxson, along with his father was all over killing the chickens and putting them in the hot boiling water. I finally told Seth to make sure he killed the chicken on the first try instead of 4 or 5 . He is using a machete to cut their heads off. It is so mean the things we do to animals for food. I know these chickens will taste tons better than the ones we buy at the store and that is what we told the kids, they had a hard time believing us but we finally got through to them. This living on the farm has truly taught are children a lot of things, I think some things could have waited a few years but what do you do. We can say they are got some very interesting education this last past year. LOL It is so cruel
My blog
So you must have noticed that my blog back ground is the wonderful Jonus Brothers. Well my oldest son Harrison and Daughter Caroline totally love the Jonus Brothers so I did it for them. I truly love my children and when I seen the back ground I had to pick it. When I showed the kids are blog they were so excited to see the Jonus Brothers. It is so amazing these days how the younger kids totally get into music and these new bands. Harrison got a the Jonus Brothers new CD for christmas from Grandma and Grandpa McDonald and he plays it all the time. He totally loves his music. Well I hope you all have a wonderful day and I hope to be posting some new pictures soon. Until next time.

Happy New Year!!!
Happy New Year!!!! We wish you all a very Happy New Year!!!! I will post new pictures as soon as I get my computer to download from my camera. I don't know why it is giving me problems. We had a great Christmas and a very quiet New Years Eve. For me I was very homesick along with the kids for all our family, for some reason Christmas really wasn't the same as it usually is. It just isn't right to go to the beach the day after Christmas, you should be going tubing or playing in the snow. I miss the cold weather and would give anything to be back in it and the snow. I want to Thank everyone for the Christmas gifts, Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa McDonald for the awesome Christmas gifts you guys are the best the kids said you just always seem to know what they want and you get them the bestest things ever( that is how they said it)You truly made this years Christmas so much better. Thanks to Uncle Rhett and Aunt Tiff for the wonderful family gift I love it. And Thank you Uncle Noah and Aunt Denise for all the games, towels and gift certificate everything was so wonderful Thank You all. I truly pray that 2009 will be our year, we are in desperate need of a great year. To everyone around the snow play in it for us. Love you all Take care and Happy New Year!!!
